Bloom’s annual Frocks & Rocks Charity Fashion Show, presented by Fayette Woman, will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at the Brightmoor Southern Ground Amphitheater in Fayetteville, GA. This outdoor, socially distanced event is an exclusive ladies-only fashion show that connects fashion fanatics with their favorite local clothing boutiques while raising funds for The Bloom Closet, a cost-free clothing boutique for foster children in Georgia.
Admission includes two (2) drink tickets (wine and non-alcoholic drinks), pre-boxed appetizers, dessert and a unique “Take Home the Runway” live accessory auction during the 30-outfit fashion show. Local boutiques provide runway fashions. The afternoon also includes silent and live auctions, fun games, and raffles.
All proceeds raised from the event benefit foster children who utilize The Bloom Closet. Foster children from all over Georgia are able to “shop” for free clothing, shoes, toys, books, toiletries, and school supplies in a fun boutique environment. In 2019, The Bloom Closet served over 4,500 children from over 90+ counties, by distributing 122,000 items valued at $887,000. This is an annual program growth rate of 26%.
The Fayette County Board of Education has partnered with Bloom for the past 27 years to promote a county-wide fundraiser to support Bloom’s programs for foster children. PB & Jammies Day is a student fundraiser that is held in the Spring at the Fayette County Elementary and Middle Schools. The fundraiser includes a county-wide Pajama Day and prizes for the classrooms that raised the most funds! Through PB & Jammies Day, children were able to give back and help support foster children in their own community.
